“India is not just a delivery hub for Strada — it is a strategic growth engine. We’ve built a world-class team here that combines global Workday expertise with deep local knowledge. As Workday expands its footprint in India, Strada stands ready to support that journey — through innovation, compliance, and outcomes that matter.”

Anirban Dass
VP, Asia Pacific & Japan, Strada

India has long been central to Strada’s operations in Asia and the Pacific. Workday has been our strategic partner, both regionally and globally, throughout that time. Over the years, we have deployed our products and services for numerous clients in the region, delivering one successful transformation after another and supporting these organisations on their ongoing journeys.

Workday recently announced it would be deepening its commitment to India, launching a strategic expansion of its operations. For the first time, Workday will begin offering services from a data center located in India, providing more readily available services and facilitating compliance with the country’s evolving regulatory landscape. The expansion also includes increasing its sales operations team and strengthening its partner ecosystem.

As a trusted Workday partner for almost two decades, Strada is ready to support Workday on their journey, intensifying our own commitment to clients in the region to ensure continued value realisation and ongoing success.

Strada’s Presence and Experience in India

Strada has maintained a strong presence in India for over a decade, having recognized the country’s dual potential as both a high-growth enterprise market and a global delivery powerhouse.

Over the years, our India team has evolved, from a regional support function to a core part of Strada’s global delivery engine. The team currently boasts over 500 experts, including senior consultants, solution architects, project managers, and domain leaders, enabling our India practice to consistently deliver:

  • Full-cycle implementations
  • Product innovations and local accelerators
  • Long-term AMS and integration support

But it’s not just a matter of scale. Our India team also offers deep regulatory, payroll, and compliance knowledge. They have built localised apps, such as Aadhaar onboarding and EPFO validations to close regional gaps, and are also leading the charge in product innovation, powering delivery excellence globally.

Today, India remains a critical part of Strada’s operating model, enabling both innovation and execution at scale.

Partnership with Workday

Strada has partnered with Workday globally for over 18 years, with India playing an active role for more than a decade. As Workday has expanded in the region, we've grown alongside them in lockstep fashion, delivering end-to-end services to customers, including:

  • Advisory and readiness assessments
  • Workday deployments and integrations
  • Workday Extend-based innovations
  • Managed services (AMS)
  • Localised payroll and compliance solutions

Customer Impact and Success

Since establishing our presence in the region, Strada has worked with fast-growing digital disruptors and large-scale enterprises—particularly those navigating complex HR/payroll environments and localisation challenges—helping many to achieve outstanding outcomes.

A standout example of what our partnership with Workday has achieved in the region is our deployment for UST, a provider of digital technology and transformation, information technology and services. A 34-country Big Bang deployment, Strada consolidated multiple legacy systems on to one Workday platform, with India playing a central role.

We have also offered continuing support to clients across tech, manufacturing, and financial services sectors and our work has consistently earned high praise for our “One Team” delivery approach.

Q&A with Anirban Dass

In a recent Q&A, Anirban Dass, Strada’s VP for Asia, Pacific & Japan, offered his reaction to Workday’s India expansion, and provided a glimpse of our plans for the future:

Reaction to Workday’s India Expansion

We welcome Workday’s deepened commitment to India. The launch of a local data centre and on-ground team reflects strong regional momentum — and signals a new era for enterprise cloud adoption in India.

[This expansion] addresses key concerns around data residency, latency, and compliance, while reinforcing Workday’s long-term intent to serve the Indian market. This is particularly important for regulated industries and global enterprises with India operations.

As a strategic partner, we are doubling down — scaling our local delivery, co-developing local apps, and investing in Workday innovation. Our shared goal is to accelerate adoption, value realisation, and long-term success.

Looking Ahead

Over the next one to two years, we plan to expand our India delivery and advisory capabilities, grow our global payroll and compliance services, launch industry-specific Workday accelerators and deepen our collaboration with Workday’s India teams.

Workday is a powerful platform — but realising its full value in India requires a partner who understands both global best practices and local complexity. That’s where Strada excels. We bring depth, scale, and specialisation, supporting customers from design to post-go-live success.

As Workday continues its strategic expansion, Strada will continue working alongside our global partner, to help deliver agility, cost-efficiency and long-term Workday value to our clients both in the Asia and Pacific region and across the globe.
